It has been a month since the publication of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, which laid bare our world’s current status of its environment. The result, as feared, wasn’t a good one. Alluding to their findings as a “code red” status, the authors pointed to concerns that the globe may experience the rise of 1.5°C over industrial levels far sooner than planned — maybe in a little more than a decade or so rather than the predetermined range of two decades.
